American Job Centers provide services to unemployed and underemployed individuals seeking jobs and job search assistance at no cost.  Job seekers are afforded convenient access to the employment, education, training and information they need at a single location. EVERYONE and ANYONE is welcome and encouraged to visit American Job Centers and use the reference materials such as newspapers, journals and job posting board.  Posted positions include all levels and salary ranges from entry-level to upper-level management.

Conveniently located in downtown Manchester, CT, our Career Resource Center offers computers, fax, telephone, copier, postage, job postings, bond paper, newspaper, and information on job search techniques and practices. Qualified customers may access services through the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act, or may be referred to us as TANF recipients. Housed with Manchester Adult and Continuing Education, we offer HSE prep, ESL classes, and other adult education programs. An active member of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, we assist local employers as well as job seekers.

Job Seekers ServicesEmployment specialists and job developers provide one-on-one counseling to help South Central CT residents be active in the workforce. A Self-Service Career Center is available  for resume preparation, job search, internet access, online job applications, and support service information. This affiliate CTWorks Career Center offers comprehensive employment and training services for WIOA eligible adults and youth. The New Haven CT Works Center provides a broad array of services for businesses and residents of our region with a satellite location at CT Works in Hamden. Services include Job Search and Career Workshops, Business Seminars, a fully equipped Computer Lab, copying, mailing and faxing services, Resource Library, Career Counseling, Labor Market Information, Skills Assessment, Job Development and Placement Assistance, Job Training and Tuition Assistance programs, Child Care/Transportation assistance for qualified individuals.
