Job Seeker Services All Tennessee Career Centers offer computers with Internet access. Use the Jobs4TN Online Web site to create and post a resume online for exposure to major Tennessee employers screening for employees. Search for jobs by different criteria, e.g., most recently posted, location, salary. Find data on in-demand occupations and training opportunities. Skills Training:  Several types of training are available through the Career Center: On-site workshops are conducted on honing resume writing, how to search for work, and interviewing. Staff can refer job seekers to Adult Education classes to refresh math, writing, and reading comprehension in order to earn a GED. Job applicants can earn Career Readiness Certificates - assessment-based credentials based on ACT WorkKeys that give employers and career seekers a uniform measure of basic workplace skills.   Veterans Programs Career Centers have veterans` representatives who team with branches of the military to reach returning service members as they transition from military to civilian life. Veterans` representatives make sure veterans receive priority in employment and training referrals and offer career counseling. They also serve as central contacts for referral of veterans to other agencies for special services. Employer Services Screening and Recruitment Services Posting a job opening with Tennessee Career Centers is easy: contact your local Career Center or go to the Jobs4TN Online Web site and follow the steps under Business Solutions. Most Career Centers can also provide space for employers to conduct on-site interviews.

To insure that you put your best foot forward, the Career Center offers Career Search Workshops, Mock Interviewing Sessions, Video-Guided Career Development Sessions and Resume Writing Assistance. The MACC can help you assess your transferable skills,develop a career plan, match your skills with current job openings, improve or create your resume, improve your chances of conducting an effective interview, find out about occupational training programs, and take advantage of the free resources in the Resource Center. Employers ServicesEmployers post job openings with the Career Center and often conduct on-site interviews. The Career Center saves employers time by helping to identify applicants that meet their job qualifications, and referring only qualified applicants for their consideration. When an employer needs a place outside of the office to conduct interviews, the Career Center is available with private meeting rooms. Employers can access labor market information and learn how to take advantage of available tax credits and other incentives.Veterans ServicesVeteran representatives are available at this location.
